THE AYAHUASCA CURANDERO INTRODUCTORY COURSE |
This is the framework of our curriculum for the Introductory Course. This curriculum is subject to change as the course progresses. Students will spend roughly two weeks with three authentic indigenous healers from different amazon cultures, two male and one female, and will drink ayahuasca in ceremony four or five times with each of them. A total of five weeks will be spent out at the jungle camps of the curanderos, which each require less than an hour of hiking to get there, and two require a boat ride. During that time, the curanderos and curandera will demonstrate the various aspects of plant spirit medicine within their personal cultural techniques and philosophy. Students will have the opportunity to see the differences in style between different indigenous traditions and schools of curanderismo, and get to know the maestros and maestra in the tranquility of their jungle camps. In between stays in the rainforest, students will spend two nights in a hotel in town, where they can do their laundry, use the internet, call home, and get whatever supplies they might need for the next adventure. The programs are led by Carlos Tanner and Josh Petersen, who interpret and guide the students during the program. The course instructors will assist with translations and will provide insights to help the maestro and maestra teach the science of plant spirit medicine in the wonder and mystery of the jungles of the Peruvian Amazon Rainforest.
More information will be given to those who request it via email. Thank you and we hope to see you soon. |
