The best part about being out in the rainforest the entire time is of course the proximity to nature, which is the foundation of curanderismo. The number of people at the seminar will be small and intimate. Everyone will get to know each other and by the end of the event, we will have become friends. In the last event, lifelong connections were made. In addition to the workshops and the presentations, ceremonies will also be held here, as the reserve has several areas with buildings that we will use during the seminar. Most of the days will be spent outdoors walking around the reserve or seated outside.

The National Reserve has some amazing hiking trails that lead to orchards of fruit trees, botanical gardens, the research center where they breed poisonous tree frogs, and a new butterfly house. While the road back to the 'real world' will only be a hundred meters away, so too is virgin Amazon Rainforest, less than 40 meters away. It is actually a rather small reserve, so it is easy to find your way around, allowing for personal explorations and profound connections with the plants and animals. There are often monkeys near the lodge and numerous bird species everywhere, and of course there are butterflies...

YOU MUST SHARE A ROOM WITH SOMEONE ELSE
Due to space issues, the lodge can only accomodate everyone if rooms are shared. There are double beds available for couples (and thus do not have to share with anyone) The rooms are modest, but because most of the participants' time will be spent outside or in the other buildings at the Reserve, it won't be an issue. Having the chance to wake up and take a walk on one of the gorgeous jungle trails before breakfast make this location much more special than a hotel in the city. The botanical garden at the Reserve is amazing.

All of the meals will be prepared at the Reserve by our talented staff and will be eaten in the dining hall. The other buildings include the Botanical Garden center, and the Rainforest research center, which are both short walks away from the lodge. There is a beautiful pond nearby, and many of the plants surrounding the lodge are marked with their common and scientific name.

After seminar participants are picked up at the airport, they will first be brought to the center of town, where they will complete their registration. Then in groups, they will travel out to the Allpahuayo-Mishana National Reserve to begin the seminar, and their adventure in the Amazon Rainforest of Peru.
